Role Overview

  • Researching similar venues and developing appropriate pricing.

  • Creating a presence on venue sourcing websites such as the Knot and WeddingWire.

  • Training in-house staff on rental procedures and policies.

  • Meeting potential clients for tours and booking meetings.

  • Sourcing furniture and other materials for in-house use.

Personal Takeaways

Through these projects, I've worked with all sizes and styles of venue and developed an understanding of how different goals and opportunities will affect the process. It's a much different experience to work with a small, for-profit cocktail bar than it is to work with a large museum who's goals are much more mission based. I'm grateful for the deep comfortability with contracts, vendors, and research that these projects have given me.
